$12a day to start$20a day later on
$12 for the first day, $20 a day afterwards, and $40 a day for service beyond five days in a 24 month period1
Your rights as a juror
- Mileage
- Only out of county jurors on a special venire get mileage at the state employee rate1
- Job protection
- Employers may not discharge or demote an employee for jury service. The employee may sue within one year for damages and reinstatement2
Many counties pay more than the state minimum, and your summons usually says what you will be paid. If something here is not covered, your summons or the court clerk can tell you.
